I am a clinical researcher in the field of communication sciences and disorders, or speech-language pathology (SLP)..

 

Working as an SLP allows me to advocate for adolescents with developmental language disorders (DLD), autism, and literacy impairments. I have worked in K-12 schools, early intervention, private practice, outpatient rehab, and university settings. In 2020, I became the first Board Certified Child Language Specialist (BCS-CL) in Louisiana.

 

Currently, I work at California State University, Sacramento as the clinic coordinator for the Maryjane Rees Language, Speech and Hearing Center. I am passionate about mentoring newer professionals in the field of speech-language pathology.

 

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, yoga, and blogging about dogs.
